AI video editing: your raw footage becomes a well-paced video

Montia turns raw footage into a video ready to publish. The AI spots silences, hesitations and bad takes, keeps the best version of each sentence and assembles everything with a creator's pacing.

How the AI chooses the cuts

Your footage is first transcribed word by word, with a precise timestamp for every word. Montia's editing AI reads this transcript the way an editor logs footage: it spots repeated sentences (only the last good take is kept), false starts, asides like "let me redo that" and dead time at the start and end. Cuts are then aligned with the real silences in the audio, never an estimate, so a word is never cut in half.

Jump-cut pacing without the jarring effect

Each cut alternates two framings (normal and tighter), with a very slight camera push during each shot. The result: a dynamic, YouTube-style edit without the "jump" of a raw cut.

Several clips, one video

Drop your takes in order: Montia normalizes them (format, frame rate, sound) and puts them end to end. Changes between clips can be marked with a transition.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to trim my footage first?

No. Upload the files straight from your camera or phone: logging and trimming are part of Montia's job.

Which videos can Montia edit?

Videos with speech: talking-head, tutorials, vlogs, interviews, product demos, courses. The AI relies on speech to decide the edit.
